I woke up from a nap and my bffls were watching this show during a lake house retreat. I felt like I was being tortured and I lost most of the respect I had for Reese Witherspoon.
Show structure:
1) Two morons observe a closet
2) Make useless comments
3) Make minor updates
4) The closet owner is so EXCITED for no reason
Ekta: I hate this show. The hosts are annoying, unoriginal, and make me want to scratch my eyes out. None of what they say is useful. They have a horrible sense of style and organization. They don't really explain anything about their decisions - why are certain sections color coded? Why did you leave space to grow there? Did the owner pare down the closet?
This just seemed like a very bad ad for The Container Store/Ikea. I think the premise of the show is interesting - I love organizing things and a home where I can't find things definitely is stressful. A much better show if you're interested is Tidying Up with Marie Kondo on Netflix or if you're short on time, Safiya Nygaard's video. 0/10
Sidra: As someone who organizes everything in their life by color and size, I was SO SO excited for this show. And after watching 3 episodes I am SO SO disappointed. The end closets didn't look that great, they didn't provide any tips on how to store anything, and the only thing I learned from this show was that you can have an organized life if you have enough money to buy everything from the container store. It was clear that these two women were so much more excited to show off their celebrity relationships than actually help normal people organize their lives. The only redeeming quality of this show is you can leave it on in the background and every couple minutes if you look up you might see some cool organizing bin you can buy from The Container Store. 1/10 because it was cool to see Reese Witherspoon's clothes.
